Oh, your precious gas went up 20 cents a gallon? Bite me! Try paying $4.50 for a HALF of a fucking gallon of orange juice when you're sick before you bitch to me about the fucking fossil fuel supply!

This time Global Warming has gone too far. I mean, Global Warming and I used to be tight, he'd melt a little polar ice cap here, I'd spray some chlorofluorocarbons there while ultimately looking the other way to his shenanigans, and he'd be cool and try to play it off like, "Oh, I don't know WHY there's ... me." But, now Global Warming is fucking with a man's Florida orange groves in his hour of need, busting the price of orange juice to an all-time high.

I hear, 'round some parts, people will trade you an ounce of heroin for a sack of oranges straight up. Keep that little tidbit on the DEE Ell.

My body's giving it the good ol' college try, though. I don't feel as badly as I COULD, but that's because I made myself go to bed at around 8:10 last night. But, this half gallon I just bought this morning could be finished within the hour. After that, it'll be hot tea for me.

Honestly, I don't know if this necessarily has to do with the sick roommates of last week, though. I still hear Liz coughing once in a while, but I think this might be a Changing of the Seasons kind of illness. It has been Pleasantly Fucking Warm the last two or three days here. Could be a signal of better days. At the very least, it's nice to get off the subway on my way home in the evenings and still have it be very much still light out.

I sent a few e-mails out to perspective places to live yesterday and got a reply this morning. One of them was a house that's VERY close to where I'm living now. It's actually off of the same train stop, only instead of heading west down Halsey, I'd be walking the other way. It has seven rooms, which I find interesting. Could be a good time. Could be a disaster, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm gonna give this person a call sometime today and schedule an appointment to see it. I hope I'm one of the first, I'd love to have my pick of the rooms.

This is a real bad week to be sick. I hope it doesn't get any worse than this.
